Dual Training through Mobility

Project

The DUAL MOB project will give students the chance to develop technical competences and soft skills through WBL mobility experiences abroad. These experiences will be carried out during VET qualification path and with the final aim of assessing and validating the learning outcomes acquired during the mobility so as to facilitate future inclusion of the young participants in the labor market or to continue their studies.

Project's Goals

The goal of the project is to promote, within VET courses that adopt WBL methodologies, learning mobility period abroad.
Indeed, WBL and transnational mobility experiences are important to (re)motivate VET learners (preventing early school leaving) and to provide them with the competences required by the companies.

Activities

The project will involve 300 students (1/3 suffering from economic/social/cultural disadvantage) enrolled in VET courses in one of the 150 VET Centres run by the Consortium Members in 18 Italian Regions.
The sectors in which the students will have the chance to take their internship are the following:
  • Agribusiness (Backery and Pastry; Agriculture)
  • Arts and Crafts (Fashion, Wood)
  • Mechanic and Construction (Mechanics, Masonry, Electric, Electronic, Thermo-hydraulic)
  • Graphics
  • Administrative, Selling
  • Tourism and Catering
  • Personal Service (Beauty and Hairdressing)
The DUAL MOB project promotes 2 different types of Transnational Mobility:
  1. 3-4 weeks internships in a company abroad, carried out by students attending an Initial VET course;
  2. 3-4 weeks in a VET centre abroad, with periods spent in company or other context, carried out by students attending an Initial VET course.
The Learning Outcomes will be valorized and recognized through the ECVET system. In fact, the Consortium Members will take advantage of the experience and the ECVET tools developed during the GORES project. The project will have an impact on the development of professional and transversal skills of VET students and staff involved (accompanying persons), as well as on the offer of VET  training provision which will be possible thanks to the improvement in the use of the WBL approach and by strengthening the mutual trust among project partners.

Partners

Furthermore, the partnership will involve 16 partners from 6 different countries (ES, IE, UK, FR, DE, FI).
Such a wide partnership will result in fruitful experience for the students, suitable to any professional path.

Il progetto

Il progetto DUAL MOB promuove lo sviluppo di competenze chiave e tecnico professionali richieste dalle aziende tramite esperienze WBL (apprendimento basato sul lavoro in contesti esteri da effettuare all’interno di percorsi formativi (3/4 anno, neoqualificati/diplomati), valorizzando i risultati per facilitare un futuro inserimento nel mondo del lavoro dei giovani partecipanti o per continuare il percorso di studi.

Gli obiettivi

L’obiettivo è promuovere,  all’interno dei percorsi formativi che favoriscono l’apprendimento in assetto lavorativo, periodi di mobilità all’estero.
Infatti, la mobilità, integrata con esperienze WBL, è importante per (ri)motivare i VET learners (prevenendo l’abbandono scolastico) e dotarli delle competenze richieste dalle imprese.

Attività e metodologie

Il progetto si rivolge a 300 studenti (circa 1 terzo in situazioni di svantaggio economico/sociale/culturale) che frequentano percorsi IeFP in 18 regioni italiane dove sono attivi i 150 CFP associati agli enti che compongono il consorzio.
I giovani coinvolti apparteranno ai seguenti settori professionali:
  • Agroalimentare;
  • Manifattura e artigianato;
  • Meccanica, impianti e costruzioni;
  • Cultura, informazione e tecnologie informatiche;
  • Servizi commerciali;
  • Turismo;
  • Servizi alla Persona.
Il progetto promuove 2 tipologie di mobilità transnazionale:
  1. tirocinio all’estero per studenti in formazione professionale iniziale presso un’azienda per un periodo di tre/quattro settimane (studenti più maturi e preparati)
  2. tirocinio all’estero per studenti in formazione professionale iniziale presso un CFP con periodi di apprendimento in azienda o in un altro contesto pertinente per un periodo di 3/4 settimane (studenti più fragili)
Il progetto prevede l’impiego del sistema ECVET per la valorizzazione e il riconoscimento dei learning outcomes acquisiti all’estero. A tal fine, il consorzio si avvarrà dell’esperienza e degli strumenti ECVET elaborati nel progetto GORES. Il progetto avrà un impatto sullo sviluppo delle competenze professionali e trasversali degli studenti e del personale coinvolto (tutor) e di conseguenza sul miglioramento dell’offerta formativa IeFP grazie al miglioramento nell’utilizzo dell’approccio del WBL e al rafforzamento del mutual trust tra i partner.

I partner

Il partenariato istituito avrà un impatto significativo dal punto di vista geografico coinvolgendo 20 partner da 6 paesi (Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Irlanda, Regno Unito, Spagna).
L’ampio numero di partner stranieri e i criteri con i quali tali enti sono stati coinvolti assicureranno agli studenti un’esperienza formativa adatta ai profili professionali.
